Invading Netherlands :)
Just to somehow appologize for the lack of updates... I moved to Amsterdam (Netherlands) almost a year ago to work as technology programmer on new Next-Gen game at Guerrilla BV (EDIT - or Guerrlla Games and yes, it's Killzone 2). I had so many plans for this site - blog and photos, but somehow I did not find enough time to update the web. I promise to be better :)
 
Switch to Joomla!
Today I migrated my site to Joomla! (I used to use Mambo before for those interested). So if you notice something not working properly, please let me know.

Unlogical Demo

I found our demo "Unlogical" and I think, that 10 years after the release might be a good time to publish it on the web.
The demo took 3rd place at Demobit 1995 party. You can run it in DosBox emulator.

New code that shows "Fractional Disk Soft Shadows" implementation is available in the download section:

Three new articles online

Three new articles are online:

  • "Real-Time Shadows" - This technical report is a survey of shadow algorithms
  • "Hardware Generated Object Silhouettes" - Article published in Journal "G" about rendering of object silhouettes with subpixel information on GPU.
  • "GPU friendly, anti-aliased, soft shadow mapping" - Refereed short paper (poster) published in ACM Proceedings of SCCG 2005 which uses the method of hardware generated silhouettes to produce precise shadows using shadow mapping.
